Celebrate the flavors of fall with this delightful Apple Harvest Punch! Combining apple cider, whiskey, and ginger beer with fresh fruits, itβs perfect for autumn gatherings.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups apple cider
- 1 cup whiskey
- 2 tbsp fresh-squeezed lemon juice
- 8 dashes orange bitters
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 2 apples (any variety), cored and thinly sliced
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 12 oz hard apple cider, chilled
- 12 oz ginger beer, chilled
Instructions:
- Mix Base: In a large pitcher, combine the apple cider and whiskey. Add the lemon juice, orange bitters, sliced orange, apples, and cinnamon sticks. Stir to mix well.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Finish and Serve: Just before serving, add the chilled hard apple cider and ginger beer. Stir gently to combine.
- Garnish: Serve immediately, garnished with additional apple slices and a cinnamon stick.
Notes:
- Apple Cider: Refers to unfiltered pressed apples, cloudier and thicker than regular apple juice.
- Hard Apple Cider: An alcoholic beverage made from fermented apple juice, available in dry or semi-sweet varieties.
- Ginger Beer: A non-alcoholic, carbonated beverage with a stronger flavor than ginger ale.
